Team Fundraising is a low-effort way for your sports team, music program, school or non-profit to raise a lot of money in under a month. Unlike other services that take 20%, Omella is completely free with optional tips!
💰 Keep 100% of what you raise: Other services take 20%+ in fees!
To get started, click "Team Fundraiser" at the top of your dashboard and answer a few questions, like team name and goal, to create your fundraiser. Then, all you need to do is invite participants (students, parents, etc...) and we'll handle the rest by asking each of them to create a profile, share it with donors and sending reminders.
Typical teams raise (and keep!) $10,000 to $20,000, while others have raised up to $100,000 in less than a month.

A team fundraising campaign (often called peer to peer fundraising) encourages the members, players or participants of the campaign to spread the word about the impact of giving to your organization. This means that the marketing reach is likely a lot further and more authentic as it is approached by individuals who are personally reaching out to their own networks to ask for support. Most team fundraisers include an individual goal for each participant with the target of achieving a larger team goal by the end of the initiative.
The biggest benefit of team fundraising is to increase awareness around the impact of giving to your cause. Having an army of people sharing this campaign for organization vs. sending a centralized message to donors directly, allows your community to hear from others regarding why it’s important to support this goal. Your marketing reach is a lot further with 20 people vs. one person or office who will be promoting this campaign and that alone will allow you to raise more money and spread the word faster about why giving truly matters. When relying on a team to share this ask with their networks, you have a much stronger likelihood of converting new donors.
For any peer to peer campaign, we would recommend running this initiative for a few weeks (anywhere from 15-30 days is most common). Choosing a campaign length within this timeframe allows for you to be successful in your marketing efforts without burning out your community with so many asks. (Note: you can always adjust the campaign window if you need to end sooner or beyond the initial time you set).
Because each team member will be marketing the campaign to their own community of supporters, that depends. However, we recommend using a mix of email, text or social media. Since your campaign is digital, it helps to promote it through a digital channel. Remember, it’s always a good idea to meet donors where they’re at. So, if that means texting your friend because you know that’s a preferred channel of communication, that works! Be sure to include your ask with a link showing where that person can support you.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
