4. What happens if a student loses their ticket or email confirmation?

No worries! You can still check them in by accessing the “Activity” tab on the Prom page:

Here’s how:

5. What should I do if I lose connection during check-ins?

Losing connection can be frustrating, but don’t worry — we’ve got a backup plan! We recommend downloading an Excel sheet of the list before the dance and printing a copy, just in case of internet issues.

Here's how:

6. What should I do if a student’s QR code isn’t scanning at check-in?

  1. Ensure you are logged in to Omella as an authorized member (see item 2).
  2. Check your internet connection: a weak or lost connection may prevent scanning—try refreshing the page or switching network if possible.
  3. Adjust lighting: if you're scanning in low light, move to a better-lit area for improved visibility.
  4. Try manual check-in: if scanning still doesn’t work, search for the student’s name in the “Activity > Submissions” tab (see  item 4) and check them in manually.
  5. Ask the student to retrieve their QR code again: They can reopen their ticket email or screenshot the QR code for easier scanning.
  6. Restart your device/browser: Close and reopen the Omella check-in page, or try a different device if available.
  7. Reach out for support: If the issue persists, contact Omella for assistance!

7. How can I send a reminder to students about check-in details before the event?

On the morning of the dance, Omella will send an email reminder to all students with their QR code, making it easy to check in at the door.

Please complete this form if you would like to modify or add to the default wording.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
